You pick up the left card, and childlike laughter all of a sudden rings around you. You look around, confused, when your eyes fall back on the card. The image of a young, dark feline is depicted on the cards, laughing with mirth, when you realise the image is moving.

Little, yellow butterflies flew around them. They knew this meant newleaf was coming, which meant the return of flowers, and the final departure of Mr.Snowcat. Although mister Snowcat had melted long ago, so the thought was far from her mind. instead the apprentice aged child was looking forward to the return of flowers and nice smell all around them. She laughed happily when on of the butterflies briefly bopped her nose before leaving. She waved back until the butterflies were out of sight. Out in the territory on their own (knowing full well they weren't supposed to, but this was one rule they were willing to break), Amaris trotted towards a little stream by a large willow tree she called their second home. There, they had a little garden of flowers that would hopefully soon bloom. With a dark paw, they scooped up some water and let in trinkle down to the ground where she'd buried the flower roots. She hummed happy little tune while doing so.
"Drink, you'll be able to grow big and strong."
She chimed quietly, then continued her humming.
This place was special for more reasons than one, now. A few moons ago she met someone here, just across the border. And everyday they hoped to find them there, waiting across the border for them. Amaris rarely enjoyed loud noises and rambunctious games, they were of the calmer kind. But with them... She didn't mind. They gave them a fluttering feeling, and they were always happy when they were there. They were comforting, too, when times got tough. Amaris knew they weren't even supposed to be friends, but this was a second rule they were willing to break, because the sunchild made the moonchild happy in so many ways.
Mulling over these thoughts, Amaris hardly noticed the sound of their parent's voice calling over the vast, open land. Their tufted ears only perked when the calling got actually loud, and they realised they'd be in trouble if they didn't come running quick.
"Coming!"
Amaris replied, quickly finishing the watering of their plants.
"Bye bye, little flowers"
They muttered, about to run off when they noticed a ladybug. Ladybugs meant love, they were told, and seeing one reminded them of the sunchild, when one had come to rest on their nose a few days ago. Carefully, the moonchild reached down to help the little lady bug back on it's paws, then waved goodbye, and hurried home.
"See you soon"
She said, to no one in particular.
